The second half of the year 2010 is an astrologically exceptional — some would say even frightening &mdash six months of tumultous change.
Starting with a partial Lunar Eclipse during the CAPRICORN FULL MOON on June 26th and culminating with a Total Lunar Eclipse on the December 21st Solstice, ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD will ensure that you will remember 2010 as one of the most significant years of your life.
A glance at the diagram at left for June 26th 2010 clearly shows a bright red square which is a harbinger of major transformations to human society.
The Sun and Mercury at the top of the diagram are opposed to the sensitive Moon and revolution-minded Pluto at the bottom. Exuberant Jupiter and unpredictable Uranus on the right-hand side are in opposition to stern Saturn on the left-hand side.
This is an Astrological Grand Square to end all Grand Squares. We are talking about epoch-making changes.
June 26th is that first of a total 10 major astrological events which will usher in dramatic transformation.
Many astrologers are sounding the alarm and warning of doom. But we Antinoians are optimistic. We are calling it the Antinous Cosmic Star Pilgrimage.
CAPRICORN FULL MOON: June 26th 2010
You are at the center of the diagram above. ANTINOUS THE MOON GOD is your Unconscious Self which is in conjunction with Pluto, Lord of Transformation. The Sun, your Conscious Self, is aligned with Mercury (your mind) at the top. To the right is Jupiter symbolizing your exuberant spirit and your fortune, and Jupiter is aligned with Uranus, the bringer of unexpected and dramatic change. In opposition: Saturn staunchly insists on creating a firm foundation for all endeavours. All of these conjunctions occur at the head of Cardinal Signs. You are being challenged to prepare yourself for life-changing transformation. Don't freeze up! Don't panic! Trust your center. You ARE the center. The planets are forming a network of support.
TOTAL SOLAR ECLIPSE: July 11th 2010
This "Black Sun" will last 5 minutes and 20 seconds, making it the longest Total Solar Eclipse of the decade. Solar Eclipses are always highly dramatic cosmic events, harbingers of catastrophe. There is nothing we can do to protect ourselves from them. But there IS something we can do to protect ourselves from the everyday catastrophes which result from our inability to adapt to changes in our lives. This station in our pilgrimage is offering us a wonderful opportunity to let go of old habits, of non-constructive habits of behavior and of self-destructive ways of thinking. Do you always seem to fall for the wrong person? Do you always seem to be at odds with others? Do you work your fingers to the bone but never seem to get ahead financially? Station Two is telling you to jetison destructive behavioral habits.
JUPITER SQUARE PLUTO: July 25th 2010
This aspect heralds disaster on the global financial markets — a restructuring of the world's economic systems. The arrogance of unbridled growth (Jupiter) will be put into question by thorough and deep-seated structural reordering (Pluto) for the benefit of all humanity, not just for a few. Station Three is warning you — no, ordering you — to reasses your assets. Money and property are transitory things. Reflect on what is truly valuable to you.
SATURN OPPOSITION URANUS: July 26th 2010
This aspect occurred repeatedly during the first half of 2010. Once again we are being jolted rudely (Uranus) out of our smug complacency (Saturn). On the global level, conflicts will flare anew, volcanoes will erupt anew, mercilessly and fanatically. In your personal life, you will be forced to make changes in your comfortable but boring daily routine. If you are in a rut, Uranus will hit you head-on and knock you out of that rut. You can sit on the roadside weeping and moaning. Or you can pick yourself up, dust yourself off and suddenly become aware of new opportunities you could not see before because you were so deep down inside that rut.
JUPITER SQUARE PLUTO: August 3rd 2010
Dark and sinister Pluto has a strangle-hold on buoyant Jupiter once again — just as it did on July 25th. This time religious fanaticism could ignite the world in a conflagration. International terrorism will be in the headlines again. In your personal life, Station Five is about dousing the flames of hot-headed conflict in your own relationships. Beware of allowing whims to become fixed ideas which prevent you from seeing the concerns of others. Don't allow yourself to make a minor difference of opinion with your partner erupt into a major blow-out.
JUPITER OPPOSITION SATURN and SATURN SQUARE PLUTO: August 16th 2010
This is a veritable "Clash of the Titans". New global crises,wars, terror attacks. But it also signals arguments, separations and unfaithfulness. Don't take your love relationship for granted. Be willing to overcome your fear of change in your dealings with those you love. And don't fear change at work. You may suddenly hear rumors of layoffs or transfers or of a new boss who intends to make sweeping changes. Instead of fretting and worrying and digging in your heels to resist any possible change — you may as well start thinking of how you are going to land on your feet when change does come, which it inevitably will.

This is a potentially explosive combination which creates a revolutionary alliance. On the planetary level, radicals will attempt to pull down societal standards and values for the mere joy of seeing them fall. On your personal level, you may feel tempted to give up everything on a whim — to break up with your longterm partner, for example, without any thought to how much you actually need each other. Egoism takes the upper hand and you assume other people's opinions are wrong by definition. The trick in mastering this exceedingly difficult astrological aspect is to strike a balance between your ego-fueled individuality and your sense of self-preservation.
MERCURY TURNS RETROGRADE: December 10th 2010
Ordinarily, Retrograde Mercury is no big deal. It happens three (or sometimes four) times a year. But against the backdrop of the other dire planetary aspects, Retrograde Mercury at this particular moment is dangerous. Dangerous for your job. Dangerous for your bank account. Retrograde Mercury is like a hair-dryer which has been blowing good things your way in terms of money, communications and contracts — but which suddenly has switched to reverse and is now sucking all those things away from you like a vaccuum cleaner. You thinking becomes clouded. Your reason abandons you. Your analytic thought processes turn hazy. Station Nine is telling you to put away the hidebound ideas, the imaginary values and all the illusions which have been impeding your life up until now. Call a truce in the chronic bickering with your partner. Don't throw in the towel — not yet.

This is ANTINOUS MOON MAGIC at its most sublime. The six months of tumultuous change come full circle.
